Financial Services
Rixaka Funerals’ funeral insurance services include individual and group funeral insurance. Rixaka Funerals (Pty) Ltd is an Authorised Financial Services Provider (FSP No. 26415). Rixaka Funerals’ funeral insurance products are underwritten by Safrican Insurance Company Ltd (FSP No. 15123) and the burial products are administered by Structured Risk Solutions (FSP No. 50618). Range of Products
Rixaka Funerals has both funeral service/burial products and insurance products. All of the products offered have a minimum entry age of 18 years and a maximum entry age of 84 years for policy holders, 74 years for Dependants and 84 years old for Extended family members.
Rixaka Burial/Insurance Products
Rixaka Burial/Insurance Products are products designed to give clients the ability to custom make packages where one can be able to cover themselves, immediate family members, dependants and even their extended family members (parents, aunts, siblings, etc.). The schemes are designed to remove the burden of how you or your loved ones will be sent off as one can cover all their loved ones under one policy.
The policy holder can take out different covers on the extended member covers, member plus five (5), nine (9) or thirteen (13) dependants, the dependants can be immediate family members, dependants or even extended family members up to 74 years old. The policy holder can also cover extended family members who are 75 – 84 years old.
Body pick-ups are covered for all burial policies within a 100km radius from the storage location. Repatriation for all burial products can be paid for from 101km using the top-up value amount provided on all burial products. Repatriation amount above the top-up value will be paid for by the family. Funeral services for all burial products will only be conducted within the provinces of Limpopo, Gauteng and certain parts of Mpumalanga and North West (see policy document). Funeral services done beyond these borders will be at an additional cost to the family.
Should funerals not be conducted by Rixaka Funerals, the cash equivalent of covers will be paid out for covers with cover amounts on the brochure (up to R30 000).
The RBS150 and RBS200 have been discontinued and clients on these products whose policies lapse will need to take on the covers currently being sold by the Company.
Rixaka Immediate Family Burial Scheme offers burial products providing funeral products for immediate family members and extended family members. The funeral packages include access to burial services and products one would require to conduct a funeral such as storage, caskets, family vehicles, luxury vehicles, VIP toilets, full decorations, programs, etc.
Funeral services for all burial products will only be conducted within the provinces of Limpopo, Gauteng and certain parts of Mpumalanga and Nort West (see policy document). Funeral services done beyond these borders will be at an additional cost to the family.
The New Generation RBS product is a product which a policy holder can cover themselves, 5, 9 or 13 dependants all covered on one premium. Extended family members between 75 – 84 years can also be covered at an additional premium per extended family member.
Funeral services for all burial products will only be conducted within the provinces of Limpopo, Gauteng and certain parts of Mpumalanga and Nort West (see policy document). Funeral services done beyond these borders will be at an additional cost to the family.
Rixaka Funerals has partnered with the Evangelical Presbyterian Church in South Africa (EPCSA) to offer the Congregation and applicants associated with the Church tailor made funeral cover and services.

Tailor-made funeral packages for groups such as churches, family societies, unions, stokvels, companies, etc.
Premium payment methods:
- Debit Order - Debit Order form to be completed and proof of account not older than three (3) months
- Easypay – Annual payments
- Point of Sale (card machine) – Annual payments

Rixaka Funerals’ business philosophy is that clients are worth more to the company alive than dead because they contribute monthly premiums alive compared to a once off payment for a funeral/burial service. However, death is an unavoidable eventuality and Rixaka Funerals prides itself and has a track record of rendering outstanding/superior funeral/burial services each time the company is contracted to do so. Rixaka Funerals has a team of well trained customer service agents located at all its branches who offer clients funeral/burial services including the following:
- Booking of grave

- Supply of caskets, church trolley, stands and screens

- Supply of graveside tents & chairs

- Graveside refreshments

Rixaka Funerals has its own mortuary facility located in Giyani with state-of-the-art fridges and backup generator for uninterrupted power supply. Our mortuary facility stores bodies in separately enclosed compartments and well controlled and monitored environment. We also have freezer rooms, which are well designed and equipped with well crafted shelves We also have similar facilities in Musina and Johannesburg.
Rixaka Funerals' mortuary services include the following:
- Collection/removal of the deceased from place of death/Hospital/home
- Storage of the deceased
- Dressing of the deceased
- Viewing rooms and chapels
- Our Mortuary Facility is equipped with world class facility for performing Post-mortem
- Delivery of the deceased for funeral/burial service
- Local, provincial, national and international transfers/repatriation of human remains. We also have a refrigerated mortuary van that we use to transport human remains from distant locations.
Rixaka Funerals has a fleet of 80 vehicles consisting of hearses, family cars and buses which the company uses to conduct funeral/burial services including the following:
- Supply of LDV 4x4 hearses
- Supply of standard hearses
- Supply of executive hearses
- Supply of Buses for mourners
- Supply of family cars
- Supply of executive family car
- Supply of hearse trailers
- Supply of motorbikes and trailers
- Supply of horse trailers
NB: Except for hearses, the rest of the fleet such as executive family cars are rented out for events such as lobola celebrations, weddings, birthdays, valentines dates, graduation ceremonies, memorial celebrations and other celebrations when the fleet is not being used for funerals.

NB: The equipment is rented out for events such as weddings, birthdays and other events when they are not being used for funerals.
